Based on the Shaping Minds Scope and Sequence of the Australian Curriculum. The same documents that we used to find success in our classrooms and school, and that have since been downloaded and used by tens of thousands of teachers across Australia. Even the largest educational initiative in Australian history, the Catalyst project, used the same documents to find success at a system level!

Knowing what to teach is so important, but the same question kept popping up: “We have the Shaping Minds curriculum, but are there Shaping Minds lessons?”

This felt like a bit of dream, but we listened and got to work, and with a helping hand from the legends at Catholic Education Tasmania we were able to turn the dream into reality.

Hand crafted by a team of tenacious Aussie teachers who leveraged the Science of Learning and high-impact teaching strategies like daily reviews to achieve historic results for their students, and then many more across Australia.

These lessons involve significant interaction between the teacher and students. We believe this is where the magic happens, not when using a device or working independently on their own… but when interacting with their expert teacher! The constant modelling and checking for understanding embedded within Maths Hero is a huge part of where the impact comes from.
